About Company
MMS Marine Motor Service GmbH is an independent private owned company located in Germany.
Our team with currently more than 65 people has close to 30 years of experience in the production of large bore diesel engine components.
As Germany's largest independent spare part manufacturer for marine and stationary 4-stroke diesel engines, our objective is to serve and support our customers to our best ability.
MMS is located in northern Germany in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. This allows us to dispatch our spare parts to any part of the world in time, either by ship from one of the largest ports in Europe or by air from the Hamburg Airport. The warehouse has a size of 6.000 sq. m; and is located on our 32.000 sq. m; large plot.
MMS is offering a comprehensive range of products suitable for large bore 4-stroke European made diesel engines.
MMS manufactures and/or redesigns engine components. We guarantee performance, quality, workmanship - at least to the standard of the O.E.M.
Products:
- Cylinder Head (We are the leading after market producer of cylinder heads in Germany, covering the range from 160-500mm of bore diameter, made from GGG60 and casted in Germany only. A class certificate is compulsory. )
- Injection Equipment (MMS offers a wide range of fuel injection equipment. Ranging from pump elements, adapter to complete fuel pumps and injection valves. Certainly we can also offer reconditioning of pump elements, giving them a second life.)
- Piston (Our pistons are made by the largest independent piston manufacturer in Germany, our sister company SECO GmbH. The pistons are certified by Lloyd's Register and stamped accordingly. All our pistons are made in Germany, using the latest in casting technology for the skirt and the unique patented MMS crown. X-ray, magnetic flux and ultra sonic tests are used to ensure crackfree skirts.)
- Piston Crowns (MMS Long Life Crowns (pat.) are forged out of purified steel with exceptionally high tensile strength and nitrated for extreme life time of piston ring grooves and matching surfaces as well as resistance against hot corrosion on the fire side. This method is protected by a world wide patent.)
- Cylinder Liner (We can offer a wide range of cylinder liner with diameters from 200 mm up to 500 mm. All cylinder liners manufactured in Germany by SECO GmbH. The quality is assured by a Class Certificate.)
- Conrod (Our connecting rods are produced by SECO GmbH using forged raw pieces made in Germany only, ensuring the quality required for a sensitive item.)
Service:
- Service and maintenance works for diesel engines and entire plants for ship propulsion and power stations
- Recording and analysis of engine and plant performance data in order to minimize operational costs and to enlarge lifetime of components and equipment
-Evaluation of engine components with high sophisticated measuring devices at site and / or in the in-house lab
- Long term online exhaust gas emission data recording with self - developed equipment e. g. as proof of the emissions of the engine and criterion of the combustion behaviour.
